gas adapter

hi, i would like to thank all the people that have replied to me about the gauges, now i have bought a 4mm to 6mm adapter to fit the gas pipe from my welder to convert it to take the larger bottles, my question is how to take the 4mm gas pipe from my welder`s hobby gauge and fit it into the adapter? thank`s, john.

All the adapters I have seen are just push fit.

If yours is this type, pull the collar of the adapter back towards the body to release the pipe if you want to remove it - don't just pull!
