The whole 300 L? Did you take various samples or the sludge off the top / bottom?

That was from the header tank, the 300 is still in the main tank but looks and smells identical.

I would dip it with a water detector before decanting it, this Kolor cut is really accurate.

Test bottle with diesel/water.

Very accurate, turns red when water touches it.

I'm going to have a play about wth the 300l before I dispose of it, but it smells the same. I don't think it will burn..and it's definitely not going near an expensive diesel engine.

It won't burn, the magic heat has been gobbled up by gremlins!

It might burn in the Surf but no good if it's got diesel flu!
It's a 200 mile round trip from me to Cowes so with a 60 litre tank I'd have about 150 miles worth left but nowhere to store it

Those hose fittings will be ok for a while, the O rings will rot first but you could replace them with nitrile seals.

Itisn't even red any longer, it looks like diseased ****..

Yes the o rings. I wouldn't wish this stuff on my worst enemy...but I can post out samples if everyone keeps arguing

that 7% is ethanol.....beware, it also atracts water over time from the air in the tank.....
under the right circumstances it will eat BRASS filters.....the ultra fine mesh sort that are in lift pumps....(used to keep the common ones in stock for Tractors)
it also attacks gaskets, copper, nylon and non specilaised rubber (fuel type) hose....
absolute carp.....Ducati had loads'a probs with their fuel systems failing.....
tho it did earn me a lot of money with mowers n the like...
I replaced all hoses, petrol and diesel with GATES, USA special hose....there are other makes but my local man only stocked Gates....
not cheap tho....
lastley all my 4 stroke engines on mowers etc was given a gallon of 2 stroke mix in the top up every other time....
mostley cos they were very old and no hardened valves......
they ran clean and cant hurt any....
the air temps when using the engines was always around 25-35 degrees....so anything that can help...why not.....
it took nearly 3 hours to cut the grass at my old place....
