Short-term , may not comply to many norms....Are they compatible with diesel?
Not if its got diesel bug in it. Wouldn't even want that in a heater to be honest. Damn stuffIs it not worth offering for free to any one who can collect?
It won't burn, I have tried it in a simple drip-feed diesel heater and it won't catch fire. The diesel bug I believe eats all the hydrocarbons which contain the chemical energy* then die of starvation, leaving a yellowish fluid which smells of varnish, and a black mucky mess. Thanks for the comments, I have just found you can get those fittings in brass so that will do it for occasional use.Is it not worth offering for free to any one who can collect?
No way José!Are they compatible with diesel?
Ok I am reluctant to contradict a man of your experience, but I have seen the exactly same thing on two different boats in different harbours.I thought the microbe ? Only grew on the interface between the water on the top and the fuel underneath.
Hence blocking filters.
Not heard the fuel degrading?
Could be wrong mind you.......
