Garage Wiring

I will be having my garage rewired shortly and was wondering if I should wire it for a 32amp socket or just a 16amp socket for my welders.
I have the following;

180amp Sip Arc welder
200amp Camarc Mig


Both the Sip and the Camarc trip the board at present on normal 13amp plugs/ sockets.
Would a 16amp socket be enough or should I go for 32amp?

it will depend on the input current for the welders. There will be a data plate on each welder stating what the input current is or will tell you what fuse to use.

providing the welders require no more than 16amp it might be a good idea to have more than one 16amp socket as they are useful for larger 3hp compressors as well

I was thinking that but I would rarely have both the welder and compressor on at the same time. Plus the compressor I have works fine off the 13amp plug.
Still, there is no harm in futureproofing.

the 200 amp mig might be marginal on 16 amp cabling. my 150 amp mig occasionally trips out a 15a circuit breaker on full power

wire the sockets in 4mm cable and use 30 amp plugs. fit a 16 amp mcb back in db then if u do have bother u can just up rate the the breaker up to 30 amp and cable and socket will be correct to do so

If your getting it rewired and the supply is up to it I would definitely have a few 16A sockets and a 32A socket - there is always a bigger machine that your may need later on.

The mains comes up in the garage, the meter, dis board is all in the garage so supply shouldnt be an issue. Il get it wired for a 32 amp socket as well.

I have about 100m of 3x1,5mm+1 cable. What is this and is it any use to me?

ok for wiring 2 way switches or for light 3 phase circuits that dont require a neutral thats about it
