inside my garage wall I've got mold mainly lower down.
this a sign of dampness.
what is the best sealant for this?
on the outside wall that is.
theres a few on ebay but all claim to be best.
leave it till summer and it dries out and seal it above damp proof course outside with thompsons waterseal . if its rising damp drill and inject a new dpc with injection jelly . thats presuming its just plain brick and not covered with anything
its a bout half way down the single brick wall.
I've emulsion it (white)
I'll do the sealing in hot weather like Alan said.
the lower brick cement is falling out so I'll have to repoint that.its only on the garage roller door side not all the walls.
I too used normal indoor emulsion in the garage, and it went mouldy. I think this is because it was water-based paint; the garage gets cold so condensation formed and kept the walls wet, giving an ideal place for mould to catch hold.
We washed it down with bleach solution, repainted with external house paint, and put 2 vents in high up to provide an escape route for moist air... No more mould.
