Afternoon All,
Im about to pour the foundations for a new garage extension which Im happy with, but looking for some advise regarding the roof buildup.
The extension will be trapezoid shape, 4.8m wide, one side is 5m long and the other side is 3.5m. I will be taking the back wall of the existing garage down and putting a 203x133mm beam across to pick up existing roof and to start the new roof. The new roof will be flat with a minimal fall away from the existing garage, but have been looking at different options - metal box profile, plywood with either felt or edpm covering. Any suggestions and past experiences would be very welcome.
Also, in regards to joists Ive looked at 200x75mm timber joists to cover the clear span of 5m, but am struggling to find any information if I were to go with steel. Has anybody got any suggestions for where I can find suitable information?
Thanks
