Now it's hardly a Dr Nik workshop project
but I finally have power in "Garage #2".
We bought the house last January and it had an awesome 10ft high, 23ft wide garage ("Garage #1"). Unfortunately, the previous owner ran taxis and this magnificent edifice to workshop design was plop bang in the middle of the backgarden.
So the management decreed that it had to go
Luckily, we also had Garage #2, a single garage around 20m away from the house.
Building commenced; demolition of Garage #1, construction of an extension, combination of kitchen, dining and new room to make one big roomy thing.
My input to this?; "I need power in my wee garage".
And today, it went live
100A of SWA 60cm under the lawn, yellow warning lables and everything, separate CU in the garage, B6 for the lights, B16 for six sockets and a C32 for my shiny new commando socket for the MIG.
Nae cheap, but peanuts compared to the rest of the building costs. And I can now hand down weighty and learned advice on electrics for outbuildings knowing that I've toed the line for my own
((I'd post pics, but it's just 13A sockets in a garage...))
