Galv flu?

What are the symptoms? I was quite bad last night, every muscle in my body hurt, I couldn't stand up nor lie down for comfort.

I did tack up the chassis parts yesterday until I had to give up for flat batteries in the helmet. I just wondered if the two were connected as I had forgotten to grind the galv off in my haste.

Thanks for that. Certainly sounds like it. Will a conventional mask do, or am I in need of special filters? I have a 3M half mask that I use for non 2K painting.

As an aside, I decided to remove as much galv as possible and my new Dremel has failed. Looks like I am not supposed to get on with this job this week!

A 3M Mask is generally quite good, its one of the better makes out there. Don't know what filters you currently have so I cant say

For protection against fumes from welding and dusts etc a P3 particulate filter will be required.

Extract at source? Even just a cobbled together out-the-door job can all but eliminate fume.

I use a powerful fan, industrial 18'' shop ventilation fan...does it for me.........

Unlikely unless it got noticeably smokey .
