Almost bought an Eastern European one in Canada. It was like a plate with flip up hinged bits, so you rolled the pastry over it then peeled it away and it left a load of pastry rings. Dump the filling in the middle then flip them over. Not as slick as this one but did a dozen at a time, because Canadian Ukrainians do like their perogies!
