'G' Clamps??

can you buy the the swivel bit that goes on the threaded bit!
I need two.I've got two record 'G' Clamps that need them.

The amount of G clamps Ive seen without the swivel bit over the years, we should be ankle deep in them, So where do they go. I agree with Andy about remanufacture, Record will prob sell complete unit only.

I'm think a good google search will bring up something John, I'm almost sure i have seen them advertised somewhere. Otherwise a decent washer with a short thin tube welded to it could crimp around the ball-end nicely,

That was one of my first projects when I got my lathe, turned up around 15 G clamp swivels, my Dad was a Joiner and I inherited about 40 various sized Record G clamps of which around 10 were missing their swivels, plus a few spares.
Pleased to say that none of my homemade swivels have come off.
I made them with slightly deeper recesses for the ball to make it easier for me to peen them over and it seems to have made them stronger than the originals.

I did Gordon but a bit pricey @nearly £5 each!

Be different sizes though won't there be? how do gauge the size needed for the ball end? notice I said ball and not bell.

Not hard to make up, and if you've a lathe it'll be a piece of cake.

Now, if I had a suitable lathe to hand I'd make up a quantity and advertise them for sale on here. I would think it would be worthwhile

new I had seen some somewhere, Link below. Never used the company. I just made three up on the lathe and banged the end over to stop them falling off.

Sometimes it is exactly were the clamp needs to fit. For example I have two on my drill table like this as I was fed up of being half on and half off a ridge and subsequently unable to tighten. There are other instances though besides like space if it gets too close to were you want to run a bead
