Not sure where this goes as we don’t have a CAD thread I can see. Maybe a need for one?
No the plan is to use it commercially and do everything on it rather than qcad and emachine as I am at the moment. It is good value, I’m just tightThe offers are not on at present, you missed them by a few weeks so it is back to £438 incl VAT for the year which is, in my opinion, dirt cheap for what you get. I suppose if not using it commercially then it looks expensive but then you could go for the free version and live with the limitations.
I know what you mean but I certainly have no regrets. No the plan is to use it commercially and do everything on it rather than qcad and emachine as I am at the moment. It is good value, I’m just tight![]()
That's interesting for I got the email from Auto CAD telling me my FOC 28 day trial was about to end , inviting me to look at other options this morning ..The offers are not on at present, you missed them by a few weeks so it is back to £438 incl VAT for the year which is, in my opinion, dirt cheap for what you get. Do you use a laptop for that? Thinking about my post re iPad. Laptop may be better but didn’t want to go that route really.I know what you mean but I certainly have no regrets.
If BobCAD hadn't got a UK dealer I likely would have still been with the as I could have got it for about £5-600 but the UK dealer wouldn't go any lower than £3,000 for what I wanted so I gave Fusion a go instead. I am glad I did as it saves me drawing in SW and going to BobCAD for CAM. Also Fusion is great because everything from components to assemblies to CAM are all in one file. The only downside is it is cloud based, you can still work offline if out and about but you need to make sure your drawings have been cached locally if planning on doing that. The place I do some of the CATs doesn't have a great signal but I usually manage to use the hotspot on my phone to connect but if things are cached it is easier.
I'm guessing F360 is loading, but you're stuck at the log-in screen? So I have decided to go ahead down the Fusion 360 route. I cannot get it to start - I just get an error logging in message. Looking on the Autodesk forum it is a fairly common issue although there are a few dead ends - ie people have tried all the solutions and still no joy. I am in this boat. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it, messed about with the proxy servers as per the forum. Getting to the point where I will just give up on it! Has anyone here had the same issue and resolved it please?
