Fusion 360 and Windows 7

Started Fusion this morning to be greeted with a message saying due to Microsoft no longer supporting W7 then neither will Fusion.
Not sure how long it would run with W7 so decided I would look into W10, did a google search and came up with a link to the free W10 upgrade so I decided I might as well do it before it starts to cost money

First thing I did was cloned my main SSD to the backup SSD I have and then I booted to the cloned backup, downloaded the windows update tool and double clicked it. Said I wanted to upgrade and off it went, probably took an hour or so but all seems to have gone well and so far everything seems to be running.

I will wait a while before I clone the W10 drive back to the main SSD to make sure things still keep working but so far it has been painless which is surprising me a bit

What does end of support mean for Windows 7 and Fusion 360?

Fusion 360 will continue to work on Windows 7 after the 14th, however, Autodesk will no longer consider Windows 7 for validation, bug fixing, and product support of future releases. At this time, future releases of Fusion 360 will not be blocked from installing on Windows 7, but compatibility and support will not be guaranteed for this platform moving forward.

Aye saw that, that is why I said "Not sure how long it would run with W7"
It could be years or it could just be months. The issue I see with Fusion is it is constantly updating so it is quite possible that in a month an update will come along and it won't work with W7 and I would have no choice but to update to W10 and knowing my luck it would mean me paying for it
