I also use a razor But need glasses for close work and got fed up with misting glasses from leakage with the ordinary dust masks. And,if leaking out, probably leaking dust in too.
While being a bit bulky, it does offer a choice of other types of protection. Plus, the filters are away from the source of dust, so last a bit longer. Cost $37.50 and extra filters are $8.50 a pair.
Once on, I don't find it any more awkward than a normal mask. Only negative is one can't talk. Probably a positive from others point of view.....

Bit of feed back on the helmet/mask scenario.
I ended up getting a JSP Powercap, the later model with the batteries in the hat, from ebay. I had chance to use it for sanding some chairs down yesterday and was very pleased with it.
First impressions are, of course, that I had a hat on! Something I rarely have but as its quite light in weight I soon got used to it. Second thing I noticed was the slight noise from the fan but that was soon drowned out by the sander.
Otherwise it was as unobtrusive as it could be with the added bonus of fresh air going down the inside of the visor which didn't steam up at all, quite surprising as it is quite cold in the garage.
So, a big thumbs up from me and thanks to all who offered advice, I've still got the whiskers. Chunko, not forgotten about the beer.......

I just bought Axminster's version of the JSP powercap, seems to be identical but 100 quid cheaper. So far very pleased with it. I have an old model Trend Airshield that is past its best and just about works that I shall keep as a backup.
