hey guys anyone built there own fuel tank ??
iam building one for my Vw T4 van that i converted to run on veg oil 2 years ago,,iam fitting the tank slap bang between the rear wheel arches inside the van
just wanting to see how you have done filler necks & sender units / what not
ive managed to get hold of 2 flogas tanks / calor gas style there not silly heavy & serve as a good base to build a tank from,,ive worked it out by weighing & when full will weigh about 11st so its not silly heavy & thats about 80 lts of oil,,,i would like to some how do a big filler cap/neck & deffo would like the cap to seal & have a breather going through the van floor,& a sort of anti neck surge
pics / advice would be great,,reason for the vent is you do get abit of derv mix when purging the system & can smell it sometimes in the van due to the tank iam using now as a filler cap with built in breather thanks Rick
