fuel cap

i have bought myself a 98 astra 1.4 petrol.
its an mot failure and got it for £25.
the plastic flap that covers fuel cap as been snapped off and now held on with gaffa tape, does anyone know if one from a 2000 on will fit as cant find early one?
ive also got to weld up wheel arch and replace n/s front wheel bearing, front suspension, sort out oil leak on camshaft box and fit new clutch.
and also tidy it all up.
cant start driving for 2yrs so plenty of time to get it done in.

Depends. Is yours a Mk3 that ended in 1998, or the facelift Mk4 that started in 1998?

got my uncle to run me to a back street breakers near us they had 1 for a fiver.
they still let you wander rd its got some old cars in right at back.
