From CO2 To Argon

I have ditched the CO2 disposables and now have some Adan Gas. Its 93%Argon 2%Oxygen 5%CO2. Did some test pieces last night with the machine set up the way it was for 100%CO2.

Machine is the Sealey supermig. 30-130A with four voltage settings. Set on setting 3, wirespeed 4.5/10

I noticed right away that I wasn't getting the sizzling noise, more of a popping noise.
I went down to power setting 2 and sizzled but did not get the same penetration.
I then put the power back to 3 and edged the wire speed up until I sizzled again. I needed to go to 6/10.

Does this sound sensible ?

Argon conducts current better so the wire melts back faster. So, you need to up the wire speed a bit for the same voltage setting.
