I am building a boat trailer in mild steel rhs tube. Going through the paint I have in stock, there is Mipa 1k etch primer and 2k Hempel polyurethane. Are these compatible? There is also a 1k polyurethane hempel primer. Would the etch then the primer and then the 2k be an idea. The metal is all cleaned to bright with nylon scouring discs. I have pickled the welds with phosphoric acid.

2k epoxy. Jotun is inexpensive.
