Got hit by a small tornado during friday night but I slept through it, my wife was too petrified to wake me apparently but described it as like a jet engine passing very closely. And during the day got to see some very very very bendy trees, but nothing came down but Im still going to fell a few when the weather improves after seeing it. The small stream meandering at the bottom of our garden has turned into a raging 8ft wide torrent and is now not quite at the very bottom anymore and the roaring kept us awake a bit in the night.
Few tiles slipped on a outbuilding but thats about it. I know lots are without water and power today though.
Better than being frozen solid for a week, which happened at the start of the month. Defrosting the poo pipe by pointing the genny exhaust up it is no fun
A mate drove from near La Rochelle (about 20km north of Royan) on sat am, and he had to drag four trees out of his driveway before he could even get started
