Had a quick look and think i might run away, I dont have a 2 poster yet so it would be ramps and axle stands outside
If I do get roped in will the IRD come out without taking the crossmember off?
Iirc you have to take the subframe off and support the engine from above. It's been a while though since I did one.Had a quick look and think i might run away, I dont have a 2 poster yet so it would be ramps and axle stands outside

I've done it twice single handed and lying on gravel so it can be done! I'd remove the IRD, access to the bolts otherwise is going to be very difficult and the IRD isn't that much work or weight to remove. If it's the subframe you are referring to as a cross member then it does have to come out I'm afraid but it's probably ready for a clean up and repaint by now anyway.Had a quick look and think i might run away, I dont have a 2 poster yet so it would be ramps and axle stands outside

Congratulations the job is yours! decided to shy away from it at present as she seems to think her 2 boys are going to do it which suits me fine, at least i have a better idea if it rears its head again so thanks for everyones inputI've done it twice single handed and lying on gravel so it can be done!
