Free Airmaster compressor with issues

Hi,I've been given a 1980's Airmaster compressor,model AM15EP50 and seems to be 3HP & 150psi with a 50 litre tank.



After messing about with the wiring I got it to run,and it seems fairly smooth and quiet,but the gauges are broken and the pressure cutoff switch seems to have a few missing parts so I didn't let it run for long.

Is the cutoff switch easy to replace? - I see they sell them at Machine Mart for about twenty quid,will one of these just bolt straight on?

I'm not even sure how to check or change the oil,but wonder whether the black plastic bolt on the 3rd photo is for oil level and the rusty bolt on the right to drain the oil?

I don't suppose anyone's got a pdf of the manual they'd like to share?

The black plastic bolt is the level indicator, the drain is to the right and lower down.

The oil level should be at the top of the window in the black bit, the centre dot in the centre is the lower oil level.

To fill the oil remove the breather, the black vertical plastic tube on the top of the crankcase. Remove the breather completely, it has a ball valve in it which will stop oil getting in.

The Clarke replacement switch should be OK. It looks like you'll have to replace the thin pipe from the switch to the non-return valve.

i would say it allows the built up pressure from the pump down to the non return valve to be released at the pressure switch once it turns off.

so when it needs to turn on next, it doesnt have a load of pressure in the pump and pipe to overcome when starting up.

There is a pipe that looks like the unload pipe in the diagram,but wasn't seen in the other photos but can be seen here,but it look's like there's something missing from the stub facing the camera between the two cable glands?
