Hey all,
Looking to scratch the collective brain of this forum,
I replaced the alternator on a Suzuki Swift (58 Plate), all was fine until the belt started squeaking, I’ve finally had a look and the Aux belt is FUBAR.
on closer inspection I realise the replacement alternator has a 4PK pulley and the rest of the car and belt is 5PK. Explains why the belt is now shagged, my bad…
Question now is do I spend a few hours putting a 5PK pulley on the alternator (awkward to get to) or can I get away with using a 4PK belt on the other 5PK pulleys?
