Found a bargain today - lathe etc

Found a great bargain today, a "job lot" of gear for 1500 quid.
Myford Super 7 (non-power-crossfeed) on Myford table
Fobco Universal pillar drill/mill with x-y table, on stand
Dewalt bandsaw
Record wood lathe
Various tools (lots of)
Lots of machining attachments (rotary table, drills, mills, etc etc)
A whole shedload (literally) of machining/techy gear

I have my work cut out for me to refurb all these, but I should have a decent set of tools in the end.
Have checked out the lathe and drill tonight and work really well, smooth and still oil evident in the bearings, the lathe has all change gears etc.
Well chuffed and looking forward to getting stuck in to getting it all back to great condition.

Yeah a result I think.....
This isn't all of it, but a good lump of it..... think it is probably worth a load more than what I paid, but I'm planning on keeping the majority of it so not in it for a quick buck.
Turned out it was a deceased engineer's home workshop, his family just wanted rid of it in one lot

. After I found that out I didn't haggle any more.

Nice find - the Super 7 & stand is worth the £1500 alone!

I'm wondering if that worm drive on the Fobco drill quill is original or something made up? If you used that for milling how do you stop the cutter falling out?

I think it's original - I had a look and it was an option fitted to particular models. The drawbar handle pulls out to engage the fine adjustment dial.
I still need to take the quill out to see exactly what is installed. I'm busy tarting up the cabinet it stood on first., then I'll get to grips with the drill itself.
The garage looks like a bombsite at the moment - really need to get going with the tidy-up!
