OK....so the lower carriage rollers have gone on my 2000, Komatsu 2.5 ton f/l.....
I'll replace all 4.....
No problem, phone the parts supplier/all makes and the dealer but both say that the mast is non standard......
It seems over here the factory supplies the new f/l then the dealer orders a seperate comp to build the mast to the clients req's.....
There's no build plate on the mast.....so no idea who made it, esp as its so old......
My question what's the norm with the rollers....
A seperate bearing pressed into the roller or is the roller induction hardened and is the outter ring of the bearing....?
Apart from being a heavy job without proper facilities it's gonna be a marathon....
so wanted the new rollers in stock before strip down as I dont want 3,5tons of metal getting in the way......
any suggestions....
ps.....this is like living in the boonies engineering wise......
so has anyone machined out hardened rollers to fit a bearing.....?
I can get all kinds of bearings locally no problem......
anything f/l parts related are couriered down from the industrial north of Greece.....and it's not very reliable....
so in house / local repairs are a must.........
after 3.5 years here still not found an engineers, and all my machines are still in travel crates.......dohhhhh.....
thanks for any help.....
