In short, what have been people's experience with replacement pads for the injection pump coupler?

Do you mean the paxolin disk with 4 lugs?

If so I have one on a shelf somewhere and I sold the Major a couple of years ado - yours for an appropriately stamped addressed envelope

Yeah the play between pump and engine is unbelievable, can't be doing the injection timing any favours. Will PM you.

does the fordson have the old 4d engine in it if so the lincs wold railway have one stripped for spares .

i had a mojor once upon a time but never did any work on it to know much about the coupler tbh.

It looks exactly the same but I think they want to sell the engine as a job lot (I don't think you would be disappointed)

I remember when stopping the engine they always made a clacking sound from the pump always seemed to have play on that coupling

Let me absolutely check it's still where I imagine it is

I got stuck in the middle of a field with a broken one, so bought two as it was a pain right in the middle of mowing !
