Good evening i wonder what those in the know would make of this car as i am thinking of buying one.
I have to say you lads are my first port of call on such matters i owe a great many people a debt of gratitude for the advice i have received over the years on this forum all of which has been spot on.

like all web sites though, ive found some duff info on there in the past so worth looking at a few sites, even then your not guaranteed they are not just repeating what they have read from another site, probably better on the ford forums reading what owners say about them

Sadly the ford diesel injector 'issue' is very well known, eBay is full of middle age fords for spares or repair due to fuel injection faults that are so expensive to fix they effectively write the car off.

We had a 55 plate one with low mileage, usual problems are injector seals, clutches, throttle potentiometers on the pedal, and water hoses on the back of the engine. If you are handy all of these are not too bad to do, if you send it in to a garage for it all it gets very expensive.

I think ford should be made to issue modified injectors as its a common fault right from the word go with the electronic junk mechanical injectors lasted years

Is that the 1.6l TDCi engine they sourced from the French?
