My neighbour hit a pothole and damaged [dented & buckled (looks slight to me, but I'm aware looks can be deceiving), not cracked] one of his alloys, which he's been told can't repaired. I'm not convinced, but he seems to have written off any question of repair. I'm going to suggest he takes it to The Wheel Specialist or Rimtech in Inverness to see what they say about it.
With that all that in mind I've been browsing the eBay ads [he doesn't have a computer] and have found a matching pattern, diameter and width in an auction which finishes tomorrow evening. Only difference is his are Ford part #..... 1007 CA and the online offering is .....1007 BA.
What is the difference between the last 2 letters, and will it make it any difference in terms of fitting to his car?
Also, just as a matter of interest, does anyone have any idea what Ford would charge for a replacement? I'd imagine it'd be "sell a kidney" time?
