There is a MF135 in the neighbours shed next to us. Not moved in over 10yrs, but supposed to be OK. I am tempted to take it on and tidy it up to cut our back two acres + a bit of cultivating.
As for cats, our one just brings in the young rabbits and lets them loose in the house unharmed. Never know him to kill anything....

I'm going to add that if there is anyone on here with some land and a rabbit problem around Manchester way or an hour ish away, I need some shooing land, lost mine in Cumbria when I moved 
problem with cats is you need ferrel moggys of the right mindset..... some cats seem just to catch the odd vole to play with, and then others are proper hunty
those are the ones that are never fed and still get fat, think about killing anyting that moves, garanteed to kill anything thats smaller than it, make special effort on anything that fights back, and you have to stop them fingting with the terrier over witch one gets to kill the few remaining furrys, tho with said type of cats about your pet choice is limuted to dogs or bigger

I think i've decided the 4610 is probably still a bit too heavy and large for the work we want to do round our place. I will have a look for something smaller in the 50hp range. Perhaps a renault orchard tractor or similar.

Still wanting the 4WD as well? Trouble is these tractors are worth are a fortune for export. Simple and no electronics. Was reading a story in classic tractor about a man who took 3 years to renovate an old David Brown to immaculate condition even sourcing a brand new seat for it and then seeing it sell to someone who was going to export it to Africa. Cab would be hacked off and its more than likely lying upside down in a ditch somewhere.

I'd like something fixable, 4wd with a nice (easy to get in-out of) cab and power steering. My 996 is a great tractor, but it is too heavy for our soft land with only the 2wd, the steering is a bastard and my old man can't get in-out of the cab (it's the weatherframe and access is terrible)... Main uses are a topper, timber extraction, running a tipping trailer and a hedge cutter. We've always managed with 35hp stuff before and I see no need to go higher, we don't plough or anything like that.

problem you'll find wanting to buy a basic but usefull small framed 4wd tractor with a cab is everyone likes them.
they don't really ever tend to leave there 2nd posssobly 3rd home. as when they get down to the sort of value were talking about its actualy makes more sense to just park them in the shed. theres naff all to go worng with them so slap a battery and some filters on it and they are staright back into work even if it's only for a month or two in the year or as an emergency spare they are worth far more as that. i've bought an older but servicable working tractor for less than the cost of a a few injectors for a new one
