I watched the Stag program last night, couldn't believe me eyes..........

At one point the camera panned round and they were using a small white disposable CO2 bottle on the welder!!!

I noticed that, overall I thought that the programme was no as good as the Escort or Landrover episodes.

I did comment to my missus about the fact that for a supposedly "pro" restorer he was using oddly "hobby" tools
But maybe as said above they were just props for staged shots etc.

It's not too bad but I think Wheeler dealers is much better. There is more work shown in the garage on WD.

Its just less about the resto and more about the history of the car. Tbh i dont really know why they bother with the resto as you hardly see them doing anything anyway. He always just seems to stumble across the most complete examples of the car going. Im sure he will find a rust free mk1 mini next week and pay the owner whatever he asks without haggling at all

For the love of cars may not be all that good,but at least it's nowhere near as bad as classic car rescue on channel 5. What with loud mouth bernie ranting all the way through it, fakery, poor editing / continuity, it just becomes unwatchable.
Most of these types of programmes usually end up being about the people starring in them, rather than the the subject that it's supposed to be about. Remember how scrapheap challenge was quite good for the first few years, then went a bit weird & focused more on the people that were on it & showed less detail of the actual construction of the contraptions being built ?
