I order on of theses on Sat 16th of July and it arrived on the Wens the 20th.

Been having a play and got to say not massively impressed cuts thin metal and Ally no problem, but it says in instructions it will cut 12mm plate mine wouldn't not even near just melts groves in the metal,I melted a couple of the tips in the process.

So of to google a few searches later found thihttp://www.plasmapart.co.uk/2531/pdfs/diagramspt31.pdfs doc out with the measuring kit the consumables I had been supplied no even close to that spec the hole in the tip was nearly 2mm not 1mm.

So I got one of the old damaged tips and dress the end over to close the hole then drill the correct size

The cut on the left was the first attempt and the curved cut after modding the tip.

So as i was reading else where on this forum the box is fine just need good consumables in spec or change the gun for another make/type with better consumables.

Iv ordered some consumables from plasmapart.co.uk ill be measuring them when they come see if there in spec

What air pressure were you running at, i have found they can be quite fussy on settings when cutting thicker sections.

Forget running 50a through the supplied pt-31 torch. It's only rated for 30a and will melt at 40a plus.

I have an sg-51 on my cut50 and even that isn't ideal at full power.
