FOLDING CAMPER TYRE ADVICE

need to replace the tyres on our Pennine Pathfinder folding camper, my question is are standard car tyres suitable or are there dedicated trailer tyres I should use. Single axle Approx. 1200kg in weight. Having to replace due to age as the date stamp on them is 2012.

Camskill or Black Circles seach or look for the size. Tyres are multipurpose so you can use the same tyre on a car/trailer/van, it's only load rating that makes the difference. Why put a £100.00 tyre when a £40.00 one will do. Speed rating doesn't/shouldn't come in to it.

I've seen camping trailer tyres scrubbed out due to axle mis-alinement or cracked due to age, but never worn out due to mileage use.

82 load rating is 475 kg so in theory a pair should only carry 950kg, a bit below your 1200kg but that load rating is at maximum speed for the tyre, in this case T rated which is 118 mph. Id say youll not be towing at that speed
