Sand yachts was scary enough for me

Used to like it when the sand yachts were out to play. They couldn't keep up and I took great pleasure in streaking past em at speed

Can just see the van and trailer they used to rock up with in the video above

3m kites are my favorite size. Wicked fast and very controllable. If your brave can fly em in a gale

Though there's something very relaxing ghosting down a beach under an 11m kite with barely a breeze at a fair lick

as long as you don't go near the cliff and theres a face on wind a guy got lifted up with ridge lift on one he hung on for life and it dumped him on the top luckily without hurting himself

Had a lofting or two in my time but always kept my distance from the sea wall for that reason.

The worst I hit a pothole on the beach and sent the kite backwards
And up I went. Buggy kept on going (pre racebuggy days as that would come up with me )

My final flight had to sell up the kites as got ripped off by a developer and needed the funds

About 40mph iirc suicide gybe into a tack.

Loved the suicides. Get a bit light in your seat as you drag the kite above and behind then the surge as it comes back into the window

Good fun using a traction wing to get airborne in the dunes, jumping from one to another, and at least the sand is softer on landing

Chap on one of the kite forums years ago by the name of sandyeti in Dubai he used to buggy on and around the sand dunes
Impressive to watch. Though he suffered a few broken bones for it

I‘ve got a mountain board, that was hard work. Immense fun when it clicks. Getting your head round stopping and no brakes caused a few bailouts before I got the hang of collapsing the wing, and ten foot arms when you find the torque window before you’re ready for it.
Really good full body workout

I never clicked with the board. Tried a few times then someone gave me a go in a buggy and off I went it all just clicked first time out

Regret having to sell up. The only reason I came back to the UK was to race in the leagues along the west coast
