My next small job, reshell my sons 205, he had an look daddy i,m flying moment in the Jim Clark rally yesterday

Crew OK I hope, is the cage still usable?

Found one that went end over end down some "steps" on stage

Crew ok thanks Roll cage ok but mount brackets bent, only panel untouched is drivers door Only mechanical damage is the rear axle tube slight bend

Always wondered what happened to 'write off' rally cars. Always thought they'd scrap 'em

Nearly always rebuilt because most parts are too expensive to just scrap

Ouch! Sunday did not run smoothly was at Buxley farm spectating, incident on stage one held everything up then they got it running again another 20 cars or so then a Subaru went on fire just after us on stage 2 another hold up finally cancelled the stage. Sent the historics through and some of the nationals then another accident held the rally up again finally they ran out of time and had to close the rally great weather tho.

Always wondered what happened to 'write off' rally cars. Always thought they'd scrap 'em

I saw one end up in the bottom of a valley (about 200 feet) in Wales - the service crew went down and removed the bits (engine, etc.) they could use again and left the shell.
It took us about 5 hours to winch one up 50 foot in the same spot due to tree stumps, I'm glad they didn't ask us to recover the other one!

Oops ,my sons crash was on stage one, he drove it out of stage but it would have left a lot of debris
PS I went to Buxley as well,weather was brilliant very unusual

Been finished for while , that was its second outing,first time the sump baffle broke and wrapped itself round the crankshaft. oh joy
