Fluorescent tube fault

One of my Fluorescent tubes has developed a faulty today.
It's starts up straight away and then goes out, it won't stay on.
Any suggestions?

if it has electronic ballast inside it may be knacked

Could the ballast be blown by an arc welder striking up?

Does the tube glow at either end when it goes out ?

surely you just replace it.

Replaced six of mine with LED tubes - instant light and no messing about - time will tell!

I bet it will be the starter. While the light fitting is on ( if it's accessible ) turn and unlock the starter and the tube should come on and stay on.

They are good. Our first ones were crap but the batch was faulty, replacement ones are spot on. Nice soft light and as you say instant.
