You can but it does make you jump about a bit. On a more serious note to flump, if you are cleaning the "piece" with a flammable liquid do NOT wear your welding gloves as they will catch fire just when you are making your first perfect bead . don't ask me how I kno .............................**** that got hot!!!maybe think about getting a task specific pair of glasses if your having trouble seeing ,,,, you have to be able to see clearly to weld , you cant weld by braille .
and two stage regulators , I know its been talked about but I find the gas saving on two stage regs is huge , more so on mig , but I wouldnt run anything else these days<sigh> I suppose I best bring up the subject, Gas Lens. If you know nothing about these, best read up on them, I found I was really using less gas as soon as I fitted one.
Needs to build the bigger workshop fist, so he can have a separate lathe and mill!So in summary, although you now have the welder you thought you needed, you will need to spend the same again getting it "just right" LMFAO. Listen to the guys on here and you will be remodelling your workshop within weeks! We haven't even touched on what type and brand of paint you need for your finished projects and just DO NOT get me started on clamps!
