Fluidfilm Vs lanoguard?

Anyone here used "Fluid film" on their chassis?

"Lanoguard" seem to be spending no end of money on FB advertising currently, and, on paper, "Fluid film" seems pretty similar, without the price premium.

Just wondering if anyone has experience of it?

Lanoguard gets its name from lano as in lanolin and guard as in protection. It is made from the oils of the fleece of sheep. The oils are extracted using a scouring process. Lanoguard uses a high-grade lanolin which goes through testing to ensure we get the consistency and the quality of that lanolin.

Does the stuff make your vehicle smell strongly of sheep, then?

Fluid film is also from lanolin...

This may be overlooked, but is the reason I'm specifically comparing these two.

It's availible here from a number of retailers. About 1/3 the price of lanoguard.

It's much cheaper to buy large pots of plain anhydrous lanolin, than buy these products. It doesn't smell and lasts for years.
Lanoguard was 'invented' in New Zealand. The country has a large population of sheep, and some bright spark thought of a way to market the stuff that gets washed off the fleeces. It's just lanolin, with some unstated additives to justify the mark-up.

Anhydrous lanolin has the sheepy bits, and any water, removed. I'm sure the products do too.
Unpurified sheep wool grease is a stinky brown mixture of lanolin, poop, dead insects etc, it smells totally rank you couldn't sell it !
