Flow/pressure....

Hi Guys,

Fairly new to Plasma cutting and have a combi tig/cutter that has been excellent.

My cutting so far has been of varying qualities but getting better, one question though - what pressure and flow rate should my air be at? I assume this should relate to the thickness you're cutting!

Would like to get to a point where I can TIG what ive just cut, whithout having to grind it all smooth!!

Hi Steve

Plasma needs about 70 to 80 psi at the torch head, flow rate of about 150 to 200 l/min.

Your never going to get a cut with a good weldable edge using a basic hand sytem, only the larger mechanized machines with a duel gas facility using oxygen get close.
