Flow meter on regulator not vertical

Hello

I've just purchased a Wescol regulator for a side entry gas bottle, the output port on the regulator is 30 degree down from the horizontal.

Are there any adaptors to enable the flow meter to sit vertical as this is obviously not ideal?

And then I won't be able to see the gauges, the enlosed handle/neck on the bottle won't give you the room for the gauges.

What he means is turn the gauges horizontal then loosen the flowmeter and set it verticaly.

Haha Yes, I miss interpreted his solution but changed my reply before anyone noticed, still not ideal though as it would be better to see the gauges and meter from the front.

It will work but the accuracy won't be the same, I know I could tilt the bottle over to get the flow meter vertical and then compare the reading with what it shows at angle to see the difference but it would nice to have it vertical.

If you are using it for welding it will be accurate enough tilted at that angle, people get hung up about setting the flow to the exact litre per minute and it doesn't really matter to that extent

it would be better to see the gauges and meter from the front.

why ? the gauges don't need to be monitored, once the flow is set that's usually it until your finished

Fabricate a short piece of tubing to fit between the regulator and the flow meter, bent at the correct angle and fitted with the correct unions if it's that critical.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of doing.

I realise it's not critical or anything so I' m not that bothered.

If you think flow rate is critical, use a peashooter type gauge on the shroud?
