Floorpan welding...

Started welding a few months ago, using a Portamig 215 which I love. Most of what I do is with thin metal on a 60's car. Wouldn't mind your opinions on this weekends work - replacing a section of floorpan and a bit of outrigger. Power is on the lowest setting for floorpan stuff, possibly not getting enough penetration...?

I have been miging for years,
best advise i can give you is focuse focuse focuse on the weld pool.

tack/spot weld first, to tisipate the heat, then turn up the power as much as you dare, keep an eye on the weld pool, and thevery second the colour of the pool shows hot, stop, the second she starts to cool down, start up,

the weld pool should allways be active, its very hard to explain,

but judge whats going on in the welp pool and act acordingly

Thanks Piero, I was using the stitch technique to avoid blow though...which I've found happens if I try and continually weld thin metal. I think the better penetration is where I got the timing better and got a bit of a pool going...maybe...
