My first go at welding on a car.

Welder set at course 1 and fine 2, Portamig 185.

Rain stopped play.

Finally a day of not much rain so....

This is the next stage of repairing the disco, it may not be neat as the wind caused a problem.
I used 2.4 setting for welding the 4mm to the 1.2mm and 1.1 setting for welding the 1mm repairs to the body.
You can see the penetration from the seam weld on the other side.

well done mate! Its a long task doing the sills on a disco but well worth it in the end! I did mine the beginning of the year to get it through its MOT. I used full replacement sills and other panels from YRM to keep it fairly easy to do. Although now looking back i wish i had went down the box section route!

I'm hoping to keep the car and so trying me best, it's a bit of a daunting task at first. With a bit of luck on the weather front i'll finish one side soon then repeat on the other side.
