Flocking

I am thinking of using a flock finish on the inside of a FG hardtop.

Has anyone used one of the "puff bottle" type kits such as this one:-

Are they any good?

I am happy it have alternative suggestions.

used a kit from frost a while back. Looks the same process. Was very impressed.

Depends on your budget and desired finish. You can get an OK result with a DIY kit, but a professional will get a result that is a lot thicker, more even and harder wearing.

I used to run a company providing flocking. I would have many items come in that people had tried to flock with a Frost kit and i would have to charge them to clean it all off and do it properly.

One guy was thinking of taking them to small claims court as they would not give his money back and his dash was ruined.

Flocking DOES NOT WORK AT ALL without electrostatics. The electrostatics makes the fibres stand on end and gives a lasting uniform coating.

If you get the chance too feel some propper flocking your will soon tell the difference!
