Flip up lense

Which decent masks have flip up lenses, I know some 3m have them but not sure which lol.
Any other suggestions welcome.

Not many of the "proper" flip up type left from decent manufacturers... I think Draeger offers one at like £300.

Most of the upper end of ESAB/3M/Optrel range now come as standard with a setup where you raise the whole front of the mask to give you a full clear visor underneath...

Nicer setup for most purposes, but not quite as convenient if you're switching back and forth between welding and grinding a lot in a confined space.

The lower end masks from the "good" manufacturers seem to use a "grind mode" option as a substitute for flip up.

i prefer the grind mode to the flip up models but you can buy flip up auto masks

my auto mask has the handy lower rates 5-9 so i can use it also for the plasma cutter as well

I have been using auto darkening filters in an old school flip up mask for years, as the passive (no battery) single shade type ADF's are now available in true-colour for just about every filter size.

Personally I find it the best of both worlds, but I suspect that's very individual.

I purchased the r-tech below, a lot better that the cheapo I have with the flip up for grinding. Only tried to weld once with pulling it back down

cheers for that, i have a few masks, currently using a esab a50, which in fairness is good but it never seems to sit right and when i got the extra back hood its a pain in the ass to keep it lifted, and forgetting to turn off grind mode is eye wateringly annoying lol, i had a older true colourrtech which was good in fairness but when a empty W argoshield rolls over it in the van, it didn't like it lol
christmas is looming so this is what i'm asking santa for
