Flexcon 5 and solvent weld pipe

I have a 32mm solvent weld pipe. I have a flexcon 5 which is 1 1/4 inch, (32mm).

Mcalpine say you can solvent weld the spigots on the end of the flexcons however it doesn’t fit in the solvent weld fittings.

Tried various manufacturer’s solvent weld fittings.

What am I missing?

Edit added info,
With a vernier the solvent weld pipe is 36mm OD the spigot on this flexcon 5 is 37mm OD so too big for solvent welding so why do they say it can be solvent welded.

Stuck a coupler in the lathe and bored one side of it out to the required size to make a DIY adapter.

Must admit all these waste sizes have boggled my mind.

Rip it out and buy new that all matches.

A flap wheel, cordless drill and a pot of glue......

Lathe access under the kitchen sink is a bit tight...........
