Fleece and Flap Disc Suppliers

Hi,

I have need some new Fleece Discs and 120 Grit Flap Discs.
The Fleece Discs are the ones with what looks like very course Scotch Brite and are brilliant for paint and rust removal.

The last two were from Screw Fix and are about £7 each.

Can someone advise of a cheaper supply source, but good quality?
Same for the Flap Discs, these are Bosch about £5 a throw.

I use rhodius flap discs from toostation.
2.98 each...they're zirconium and last quite well. Made in Germany.

I get flap discs from The Range for £1 each and they last about as long as bosch ones. The only difference is the face on the bosch one is angled but the El-cheapo ones have a flat face.

Rhodius are good. Used a lot of their Slitting discs and Grinding discs too. Can't fault their kit.

Last time I hunted for fleeces the cheapest were from Weldequip, even with carriage they were cheaper than my local trade shop. (Shhh...... Probably shouldn't be letting Weldequip know that!)

I have only recently started buying flap discs due to having a large quantity of sanding discs which I prefer for final finishing. I've tried a couple of makes recommended by my local trade shop with the more expensive ones supposedly lasting longer, but it's hard to make a comparison as I don't do the same work all the time.

I usually get my Zirconia flap discs form Smith and arrow, box of 10 for around £20-00 with free postage,Also use their thin cutting discs (0.8mm ) Good value for money,either deal direct or they have an ebay shop.

All the Smith & Arrow discs I have used so far have been good and lasted well.

For the fleece (non-woven poly / clean 'n strip) discs google 'abracs poly disc' which come in two flavours for angle grinders, the blue ones are harder/stiffer/longer lasting than the black but leave deeper scratches- they're designed more abrasive materials like concrete. Should be around £5 - 6 ea, less if you buy in quantity, and last a lot longer than the screwfix ones. The Norton rapid strip that ABtec sell are probably as least as good

Pretty much any of the 'proper' abrasive brands like Klingspor, Sia etc are cheaper and better quality than bosch etc from screwfix

if I remember rightly Gordon they were offering their disc at the same price as they did on ebay.
some one on here found out and posted it on the forum.
so they (smithy & co) cleared off the forum.
