fleabay result last night

I was watching a show on Discovery a few weeks back about Monster Moves and they were using some beefy ole clamps for fixing steel beams in place, I could do with one of those I thought

well last night trawling thru fleabay I found a listing for 3 heavy duty clamps, nobody else had bid on them so i put in the opening bid of £24.99 and dang me if I didnt win them

Nice! I got two pairs of brake pads for my bike, £36-worth for £12.49 inc. postage. The guy listed them as separate pairs, the first pair I got for £8-odd and the second pair attracted no other bids than my 99p!
Previous bargains include the electronic cruise control for the bike (£220 instead of £500)... but my personal best for selling was a piece of equipment that was written-off and thrown in a skip: I wrote a full description of its faults, put £15 for carriage and people were falling over themselves to bid. It went for £450: not bad for something I got for free - though as it was a £15K bit of kit you can see how some people were taking a chance on getting it fixed cheaply.
