No not the same Chris, the rapid blend I only use on aluminium.
I had some red ceramic discs from Steve at Weldquip and they were very good, can remember the name but German made I think, Steve will know

still waiting for my ceramic flap discs but the norton blue and orange ones turned up the rapid blend look and feel tough and I think they will last well not sure about the orange blaze ones they feel softer probably no better than the toostation ones but i am going to try them with a open mind

Orange Norton discs are for rust and paint removal, and not intended to remove anything other than rust/paint.

the ceramic flap ones just turned up too they feel thicker and more heavy duty compared to the usual blue flap discs
They also have a threaded center so that you can screw them straight onto the grinder makes changing them over quicker and easier
