Flange tool?

not sure if thats the right name for it. what I'm after is a tool the will turn the edge over on a 1/2" pipe so it act like a washer.any info will be appreciated. maybe a tappered end tool of sort that you can use a hammer on .John

That's the fella!

The hammer type one, I think you're mistaking the finished result, that one is used to flare a socket "Socket Forming Tool" in 15mm or 22mm pipe to accept a 15mm or 22mm pipe saves on couplings, but it doesn't flare to give a shoulder.

flared,aye that what I mean't. I couldn't think of the name at the time.
what I want is the one that will give a shoulder.
I've been out of the game that long I've forgotten most things that I learn't.
all I've been doing is just welding for the past 15 years with a little fabrication in between.thanks I'll have alook around on the net.

I've had a look but cant see what I'm looking for.its something like in the picture. I only need this one or like to fit into my 20 tonne press. but must be able to put a shoulder edge etc

Oops that'll be 1/2" or 15mm then.
I'd buy a kit and bastardise it for the press
