Fixing up Sherpa truck for rat run!!!

in a year’s time there’s a rat run going to Europe
This is something I have always fancied doing, but it’s got to be in my favourite vehicle of all time….
SHERPA…
I do know of a Sherpa pickup with a home made dropside body
It belonged to a local builder who died 2 years
But it’s been parked up in a shed for 30 years after he retired
It’s probably done only around
20,000 miles
I have made enquiries, the chassis is badly corroded for starters
is it possible to buy new chassis sections?

You will probably end up making the repair sections , but it has to be worthy of a closer inspection ,,,

This is good recent mot and it’s going to cost less than restoring the other one which has been parked in shed for many years

dont expect to get anywhere fast.....
I think the later models go a Peugeot D engine....?
Never heard of this rat run....pls tell me more......
