fixing stuff to plastic bathroom walls

Ive bitten the bulet and had my bathroom ripped out. Gone is a festival of mouldy artex and shiny plastic imitation marble.#
its been lined out with this modern fangled stuff which looks good but how do i fix soap dish loo roll holder, shampoo trays etc et to it?
builder said rawl plugs but that does not look right to me and I'll cry if I damage it

I dont know but whats behind it, rawl plug into that.

You could drill through and wallplug into the wall behind but if its only lightweight things I would be tempted to stick them on with a good silicone as you cant fill the holes later.

use a 6.omm drill and put a red rawlplug in. a dab of silicone behind the plate your fixing and dont over tighten the screws

Ive fitted the soap dish screwed into the batten it would be easy to overtighten and crush the panel

yep thats why i said dont over tighten

Exactly this, fitted loads with no problems

Just drill into the wall behind, it does crush and deform it you go mega tight so be careful

So plug goes into the wall. Bush same thickness as the paneling. Would stop crushing. Use fixings like that on dot and dab walls

As said above , done a fair bit of cladding we often drill a hole with a 20mm cutter and insert an M10 nut as the bush usually about the same thickness as the panel good for rad brkts and towel warmer brkts a little trickier for small stuff though .

I used the multi panel equivelant. Beats tiling anyday!

you could probably superglue to that stuff too!

As above, either a spacer/bush or literally just glued to the panel with polyurethane for light stuff.

Yeah, I would go with an adhesive of some type, depending on how much staining or damage may be acceptable. It may even be possible to find a semi permanent, non-marking adhesive. You could ask the manufacturer or do a test on a sample offcut (or both).
