Hi,
I was given a record vice as the school I worked at were chucking a load, I have been using the past 5 years or so and its been great however in all that time it has had an issue where if you unwind the jaws they dont move, if you keep moving eventually they jump to where they should be.
over the weekend I had the intention of having a look at it, looking underneath I noticed the spring near the handle is very deformed and the washer compressing the spring is bent in the middle obviously where the most force is, would this be the cause of the uneven movement or would it be something else, I cant seem to find any clear disassembly instructions.
Thanks
