Fix /limet damage to induction hob after chiping a corner

it's not that bad but looking online as there is now damage it's not as strong as before and will generally crack across the rest of the glass over time

The main thing at the moment is the sharp

Lol.

Think Slims got the right idea. Poly disk or flap disk being careful not to overheat and radius/smooth out then some kind of resin.

Leave it as is, and put some of those chrome corners that are used to hold mirrors etc on each corner, Make a neat job and look like "factory"

About 8 years ago I bought someone's Induction hob for £25 as it was cracked (£550 new), spent £100 on a new top for it and spent a couple of hours swapping them . Then dropped a mug on it a month later and cracked it right across. Been that way ever since!

That looks like an edging strip not the actual glass? Might just be the photo

Ok tidyed up the edge to stop a knife edge cut used a dermmel and wet and dry from 1000 to 5000 grit nice and smooth now looks carp but gone passed that now the damage is done and can't see the point in going through all the work to replace the glass at massive cost to have it do it again and a few months I like the mirror edges will have a look at that the only thing that worrys me is leaving an edge that can possibly catch food water and that could rot or smell if some thing stays in there

Make some sort of stainless surround, find someone with a press brake or metal folder to fold a thin piece of stainless sheet and just tack it at the corners ! Will smarten it no end. As for keeping clean, a smear of clear silicone should do it then regular cleaning as you go !

im feeling the same as you i could do more damage than good thats its for the glass repair

thinking keep the model number see if a broken one with good glass comes up for sale of the bay of thives
